This could either be related to your Z offset or your firmware version. I remember some versions would give me troubles with moving or autohoming. In the end the version that worked was the bugdix version. https://github.com/elmerohueso/Marlin-bugfix-1.1.9 Use this as a base then make modifications as suggested by teaching tech.
