On my runcam 5 orange I run 4:3 1440p then do a dynamic stretch/fake SuperView. I used to do it in 'superviou' but I'm looking into doing with ffmpeg directly, or perhaps making my own fork of the original implementation of fake SV that gives more control over encoder settings, not super fond of the current superviou app and it's lack of control.
In terms of the dynamic stretch, yeah so it sort of depends. In this case, I just used superviou gui, as i do with any goggles dvr videos.

- So I was thinking of getting my first action cam. Was going to get the run cam orange as I’m still learning. Plus it’s cheep and small. But looking at the mounts and room I have. I dont know if I have room to fit one. Would I need to find a 3s printed part made for this drone and the runcam?
