InfluxDB
Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale. Get real-time insights from all types of time series data with InfluxDB. Ingest, query, and analyze billions of data points in real-time with unbounded cardinality.
That's all well and good, but really it creates a new synchronization problem with implicit sync. Worse, a maliciously crafted wayland client could totally kneecap the compositor by intentionally committing frames it knows won't be done for a long time. If the compositor uses them carelessly, it could accidentally get trapped in implicit sync. A video game running at full-tilt with the immediate present mode could do this on accident unless mitigations are put in place. Well the Vulkan X11 WSI provided by mesa has such a feature – it forces the client to commit only completed frames in immediate mode.
Yes, it seems gamescope has been able to leapfrog the status quo when it comes to implementing certain wayland features relevant to power consumption and latency. Well I guess it's a little simpler to implement them when the hardware is predictable and there's only one graphics driver to worry about, so that helps.
