Is there a language that converts to C++ that allows you to make your life easier with the syntax?

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on reddit.com/r/cpp_questions

Our great sponsors
  • Scout APM - Less time debugging, more time building
  • SonarQube - Static code analysis for 29 languages.
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • haxe

    Haxe - The Cross-Platform Toolkit

Then there is Haxe that is a higher level language that directly transpiles to C++. But I wouldn't really say the syntax is simpler than for C++

  • Cython

The most widely used Python to C compiler

Well you can use Cython transpile certain Python to C code, albeit it still needs the Python runtime and a lot of other stuff, so it isn't really a direct conversion.

  • Scout APM

Less time debugging, more time building. Scout APM allows you to find and fix performance issues with no hassle. Now with error monitoring and external services monitoring, Scout is a developer's best friend when it comes to application development.
