There was recently a new Dogecoin Core Update aiming to lower fees on the network, you can grab it here, and here is the link to the Dogecoin developers twitter announcing the update. Once enough people have updated the doge network will see a massive drop in fees increasing its viability as a day to day currency.
There is also a newer dogethereum bridge being worked on, which would be nice to get some wrapped dogecoins working on the Ethereum network. There are bridges already working, but this is just a new crack at it which I find interesting.
