I want to use Runekit (https://github.com/whs/runekit) on my Linux PC, but I am having trouble with it. My setup uses a tiled window manager called Sway, which uses a graphical backend called Wayland, rather than X11, which is more or less the de facto standard. When I run the Runekit appimage with a terminal, I get the following message:
I also tried using a fork of Runekit (https://github.com/Toasterbirb/runekit), but the apps wouldn't open. Instead an error would appear saying that the RuneScape window was not detected.
I could probably use the i3ipc-python (https://github.com/altdesktop/i3ipc-python) library (which works with both i3 and Sway) to make a Sway-specific implementation, but then it would be up to other people to implement support for things like KDE Wayland and Gnome Wayland.
