  3. rmfakecloud

host your own cloud for the remarkable

You can use rmAPI https://github.com/juruen/rmapi and other community solutions like https://github.com/ddvk/rmfakecloud to do the tricky part.

  4. toltec

Community-maintained repository of free software for the reMarkable tablet.

If you prefer you can also use Node on the reMarkable itself using (Toltec)[https://toltec-dev.org/] opkg install node giving you v14 and optionally npm. Anyway my main point is that to sync via the official cloud or yours should not require reverse engineering anymore at this point.

  5. ReMarkableAPI

Docs and implementation of the reMarkable file sync API

Oh that's nice, yeah I wasn't implying I would reverse engineer it myself. I saw this one by splitbrain from someone's post before writing this post and was thinking I would use that. Anyway that's great to see the resources you linked above, so yeah I should be able to do what I want with this tablet then.
