  • Update to toltec: does this mean that draft should work again?
Thank you very much.According to, toltec seems to pick the sources of draft from that repo ( and build the binaries from them. Am I interpreting this incorrectly?
There has been a new release of toltec ( In a previous thread it is mentioned that toltec needed to be updates for draft to work in the new reMarkable software versions ( Now should it work? What should be done? I don't remember directly installing nothing related to toltec to make draft work in previous tests (with previous versions of the reMarkable software).
  • I bricked then recovered my reMarkable 2 | 2021-09-27
For anybody wanting more context on the ipk format: | 2021-09-27
I guess you haven't looked at our install instructions[0]. The hash check is done before running the script. You can't run the script if it doesn't match unless you choose to just run it manually and ignore the check.

  • How customisable is the rm2?
  • The most underused browser feature | 2021-08-25
  • Stuck reMarkable
    i got it to work:
  • Checking upgrade steps for Toltec/remux (RM2)
Is the next step to enable auto-update in RM2 settings and upgrade? Also, I've seen conflicting info on what will happen with system upgrades. Some places tell me that it will wipe Toltec and all the custom stuff. But on the other hand, this page provides a command ("toltecctl reenable") to re-enable Toltec after a system upgrade, implying that Toltec will be fine and just need to be re-enabled. I could go for the upgrade and find out, but I'd rather not Leroy Jenkins into things before consulting you folks who actually know what you're doing!
On the discord, they said Toltec hasn't been updated for 2.9 yet. This is the update they're still testing, if you want to keep an eye on it:
  • Are notebooks synced to the Remarkable cloud like PDFs?
If you prefer you can also use Node on the reMarkable itself using (Toltec)[] opkg install node giving you v14 and optionally npm. Anyway my main point is that to sync via the official cloud or yours should not require reverse engineering anymore at this point.
  • Can you email pdf and content to your remarkable? Like Amazon kindle does.
    install Toltec :
  • How is it after using for several months? Worth it?
    toltec packages
  • java 8 on remarkable?
Best way to get both is to install toltec first
  • Opkg apps not rendering?
When running just from a command line it was segfaulting, I think it's because of and the update of the apps is needed after 2.6 update.
