juliawm (which is similar to dwl) recently had a commit saying they implement damage tracking, dwl didn't seem to implement it. These are all projects that seem fairly immature so maybe stick with sway or some other mature wlroots based window manager for now.
Looks like the name was changed to japokwm. You can also see a (somewhat incomplete) list of wlroots compositors here.
