  • u/grantrules mentioned some fantastic resources so you should definitely check those out. I also found most docs and demonstrations very hard to follow at first (it gets easier!) but what helped me was learning the abstract concepts alongside practical applications. Kyle Simpson's You Don't Know JS is free on github and does a great job of teaching fundumental basics, while SuperHi have a great free follow-along course on how to make your own site from start to finish. You don't have to stick to one resource either – pick and choose, switch back and forth, learn, have fun!
