Another possible approach is to use OBS Studio to capture the content as it's playing in a window on your screen. It's a slow and somewhat PITA approach, but if your goal is to archive (rather than watch offline in the first instance) then it'll be (slightly!) better than nothing. I'd still try my luck with youtube-dl first.
