  • audacity

    Audio Editor

  • There was a telemetry PR back in May that was rejected (https://github.com/audacity/audacity/pull/835) and none of the recent diagnostics commits appear to be opt-in or automatically sending telemetry (to me). Am I right in thinking that opt-out telemetry didn't get into master or a release branch yet?

  • Tenacity

Discontinued Tenacity is an easy-to-use, privacy-friendly, FLOSS, cross-platform multi-track audio editor/recorder for Windows, macOS, Linux and other operating systems. Project currently on an indefinite hiatus.

  • I thought so, but it kind of looks like significantly more? At the very least, Tenacity has already been effectively killed by a 4chan raid intended to promote Sneedacity, so both the fragmentation and the maintainer meltdowns have already begun.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • audacity

Discontinued Tenacity is an easy-to-use, privacy-friendly, FLOSS, cross-platform multi-track audio editor/recorder for Windows, MacOS, GNU/Linux and other operating systems. It is developed by a wide group of volunteers. Contributions welcome! [Moved to: https://github.com/tenacityteam/tenacity] (by temporary-audacity)

  • They're looking into a new name as well, https://github.com/temporary-audacity/audacity/issues/5

  • vscodium

binary releases of VS Code without MS branding/telemetry/licensing

  • Not saying this example is done well or not done well, because that's very much a subjective opinion in a clearly charged topic, but an example of a popular OSS with telemetry is VS Code and the community-driven distros without telemetry VS Codium.

  • Roundcube

    The Roundcube Webmail suite

  • That seems pretty unfortunate. For example, I remember Roundcube being pretty neat, but surely it handles enough user data to require COPPA compliance... so now that can't be GPL'd anymore?

  • sneedacity

    Audio Editor
