  • homebridge-switchbot-ble

Discontinued The @switchbot/homebridge-switchbot-ble is a nodejs module , and also a homebridge plug-in that directly controls SwitchBot products via BLE.

  • The closest solution I've found so far is something called Switch Bot (https://www.switch-bot.com/), but its website says that the traditional US toggle switch is the one kind that the Switch Bot does not control. Is there something like the Switch Bot that works for US light switches?

  • Here was my solution for my last apartment, not the same kind of switch but there's similarly goofy ones on thingiverse for your type of switch. https://github.com/sfgabe/OITProjects/tree/master/RentersLightSwitch

  • Home Assistant

:house_with_garden: Open source home automation that puts local control and privacy first.

  • I use the Third Reality smart switch to control my gas fireplace that uses a switch like that. It's a Zigbee device that connects with Alexa and Google Home as well as their own app. It's a device that just sits on top of a regular switch and mechanically flips it when commanded. I connected it with my own Zigbee hub (Conbee II) and use it in Home Assistant.
