I actually suggest you use something like youtube_stream_capture ,that adapted to how youtube streams dash nowdays, over fixing the manifest.
You can get it working with the manifest, this issue describes the process for a stream that ended and is not yet processed into a video. It's the same for live ones, you would just need to add a ton of fragments, since you dont know when it ends, and be there to stop it from trying to download nonexistent fragments after the live ends. Note that you must use yt-dlp now to follow the instructions as youtube-dl wont show the dash streams until after they ends. This method becomes overcomplicated if the streams goes over 6 hours as you would need to redo everything every 6 hours when the links expire and are renewed.
