I found some really useful code to get started by a fellow named Luke Miller. He's done the heavy lifting by creating a library for tide tables in multiple U.S. coastal locations (no simple task). However, his actual clock execution is very basic. His original code basically asks the Real-Time Clock module what time/date it is and then outputs the current tide height in feet based on that time/date. Luke's code works perfectly to output current tide height, as far as I can tell. However, I really want to know when the next tide change is and how high/low it is predicted to be. So I needed something that would massage Luke's data a bit.
