about the design: it looks alright in my opinion, but i think maybe a grid having the buttons use the full size (with borders, of course) instead of the rounded rectangles with padding. maybe the checkpoint homebrew app is a good reference for the ui design :) (and also, on the top screen: i'd make the border maybe dark gray, and have the result background be a lighter shade of gray. then the input rows could maybe be the same color as the input on the bottom screen. something like that.)
