  • dragonfireclient

Dragonfireclient is an utility client for the Voxelengine minetest (http://minetest.net/). The client was created by Lizzy Fleckenstein and is inspired by the Minecraft clients Liquid Bounce and Impact. Discord: https://discord.gg/kab99uu for more information.

  • Modified clients are basically different versions of the game that changed some of the C++ code. They are not mods; they can not be installed "on top of" your vanilla minetest installation, they are basically a different program. To my knowledge, the only modified clients that are really add new concepts to the game and don't aim to be merged at some point are hacked clients. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have not seen anything similar to OptiFine or Badlion Client in Minetest. There are several hacked clients, e.g. OpenClient, PunTrue, SunClient, minetest-hack, waspsaliva and also dragonfireclient. OpenClient and PunTrue are not maintained anymore; SunClient is an unmaintained dragonfire fork; the only clients that are really used at this point are waspsaliva and dragonfireclient (waspsaliva is also a dragonfire fork). Waspsaliva itself has more features than dragonfireclient, but dragonfireclient has a Cheat database that was forked from ContentDB and aims to add most features using clientmods - it's less bloated on purpose, users should select what features they want themselves. Waspsaliva requires a lot of configuration before it's able to run and there are no windows builds, you'd need to compile it yourself. Also, one of the waspsaliva core devs has been quite inactive in the last time, so currently minetest and dragonfire upstream are not merged into waspsaliva and dragonfire has some API features that are not in waspsaliva. However waspsaliva and dragonfireclient are the only ones that really matter, and you should choose which one you want to use yourself.Waspsaliva: https://repo.or.cz/waspsaliva.gitDragonfire: https://github.com/EliasFleckenstein03/dragonfireclientDownload Dragonfire for Windows here: https://github.com/EliasFleckenstein03/dragonfireclient/releases/tag/2021.05[https://repo.or.cz/waspsaliva.gitDragonfire](https://repo.or.cz/waspsaliva.gitDragonfire): https://github.com/EliasFleckenstein03/dragonfireclientDownload Dragonfire for Windows here: https://github.com/EliasFleckenstein03/dragonfireclient/releases/tag/2021.05
