I don't know Clojure and for 2020 I wasn't writing down what I learned/my thoughts (like I'm doing as I now go through 2015). But looking back over my answer (https://github.com/djotaku/adventofcode/blob/main/2020/Day_11/solution_1.py) and the problem statement, this is a simplified version of Conway's Game of Life. So are you changing all your values at once? If you do it as you go, you're going to get the wrong answer.
