  • That's true, although it won't make a huge difference, but if we're talking proper representation of sunlight then I would rather use an actual astronomer's library to simply pull the sun's angle from. For example using https://github.com/sffjunkie/astral where the sun.elevation function returns the angle of the sun. However as the practical maximum angle isn't normally 90 degrees, you need to also calculate the maximum angle for that day too using that day's noon as the elevation's moment parameter:
