if you are a tech person, definitely take a look at HomeAssistant! with HA, i was able to convert the existing dumb bell to smart. so when someone ring the bell, HA turns the TV on n show the front camera. if im not home, send the snapshot to my phone instead. if motion is detected in the back yard, HA sends snapshot from the back cam. automations fire almost instantaneously because nothing goes through the cloud, all local.
