Embark live-occur can be used as a completion system by itself, I think /u/oantolin uses it as his main completion system. But right now there is the discussion to somehow streamline both occur and live-occur and to unify them somehow (see https://github.com/oantolin/embark/issues/53).
Nice to meet you here! Maybe it helps to check what Selectrum uses to integrate with embark. For marginalia you would need to start support annotations metadata. I have worked on integrating those with Selectrum so maybe I could help a bit when you run into problems and /u/oantolin and /u/dmendler might also be interested to help out with ivy support.
Thank you! I opened an issue https://github.com/abo-abo/swiper/issues/2780
Don't worry, you didn't miss it: it does not come with Embark. For this I would recommend installing sudo-edit and binding the sudo-edit-find-file command in both embark-file-map to use as a file action, and in embark-become-file+buffer-map if you use embark-become. Something like this, if you happen to use use-package:
There are plans to make the consult-buffer command more flexible and also extensible with custom buffer sources, see https://github.com/minad/consult/issues/135.
