Also, on another note about Beeper, idk how they will get their iMessage bridge running on iOS. As far as I know that is not yet possible with a Matrix backend, but I could be wrong.

I see. Unfortunately, the XR has the A12 chip, so it is incompatible with checkra1n (a hardware based jailbreak that works across different iOS versions). However, there is still hope that you can jailbreak the iPhone and run the iMessage forwarding software on it, be it Beeper, SMServer, WebMessage, or MyMessage. If you are on iOS 13 - iOS 13.7, you can use either Odyssey or unc0ver. If you are on iOS 14 - iOS 14.3, you can use either Taurine or unc0ver. Unfortunately, if you are above iOS 14.3, there is no jailbreak for devices that have an A11 chip or newer just yet.

Woah! You've definitely piqued my interest with the tapback and reply sending from OS's that don't even support it 🤯, I'm really excited to see this project come to fruition. Here is a ticket I made on SMServer's GitHub page regarding sending attachments through ChatKit vs. IMCore. This jailbreak tweak definitely sounds like it'll be a hit though :)
