Discontinued [Deprecated: Use our new Node server: https://github.com/standardnotes/syncing-server-js]

  • Hi u/RandomComputerFellow, for what it's worth, you can self-host Standard Notes as well. Overhauling the setup docs is on our todo list, but if you have any questions with the current guide you can create a thread in the Issues tab of the syncing-server repo. 🙂

  • Joplin

Joplin - the secure note taking and to-do app with synchronisation capabilities for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS.

  • Personally I prefer Joplin. It's an open source note app that supports end-to-end encrypted synchronization. It can be used with cloud services like Dropbox or Nextcloud, but also via the local filesystem (which should enable it to be used with Protondrive once a desktop sync client is available from Proton). I like that you are not locked into a company's service. It's maybe not as polished as some of the commercial note apps, but once you get used to the markdown formatting it's very convenient.

  • SurveyJS

Open-Source JSON Form Builder to Create Dynamic Forms Right in Your App. With SurveyJS form UI libraries, you can build and style forms in a fully-integrated drag & drop form builder, render them in your JS app, and store form submission data in any backend, inc. PHP, ASP.NET Core, and Node.js.
