Author of the patch started adapting it to DOSBox Staging, but abandoned the work - so you would need to merge patches from #929 yourself, help with pushing this work through the finish line, or wait for us to do it (but it's unlikely to happen for upcoming 0.77.0 release, next big features like this will go into 0.78.0).
Natively? You'll have to use the good ol' wire. Works a treat when paired with webOne.
