  1. reqwest

An easy and powerful Rust HTTP Client

No ? I just googled "how to make http request in rust" , it got me to use this package. I tried the first example there. It had to compile 115 dependencies and obviously the crate itself. The matter of the fact is that rust's std lib is anemic, for reasons ..., and it shows on the amount of dependencies.

  2. InfluxDB

  3. cryptography

cryptography is a package designed to expose cryptographic primitives and recipes to Python developers.

  4. rust

Empowering everyone to build reliable and efficient software.

    It's the Rust programming language.

  5. rustc_codegen_gcc

libgccjit AOT codegen for rustc (by antoyo)

There are projects in the works like rustc_codegen_gcc and gccrs that would help with the portability issues, but they are very WIP as of now as far as I'm aware.

  6. coreutils

Cross-platform Rust rewrite of the GNU coreutils

Binary bloat is pretty crazy, too.

  7. wg-allocators

Home of the Allocators working group: Paving a path for a standard set of allocator traits to be used in collections!

I guess "im trying to pretend rust is a different language" cause I want allocators. Well fuck you because it's such a problem rust has a working group. Typical rust user. Doesn't acknowledge any problems with the language and ignorant as fuck about programming.

  8. rust-blog

Educational blog posts for Rust beginners

Lifetimes are hard, but this article may help you.
