  • gfn-electron

Linux Desktop client for Nvidia's GeForce NOW game streaming service

  • Like I said in the thread, Firefox suffers from a breaking issue on my end (and isn't officially supported), Chromium lacks some library on my distro, I don't truly want to install Chrome since there's no guarantee that the browser would resolve the issue and in any case I likely have to enable the hw acceleration manually and may have to install browsers from third-party repos or build them manually. I would just use the unofficial electron app (remembers the Nvidia login credentials and worked entirely out-of-the-box), but there doesn't seem to be a known way to enable the acceleration. I have an 8th-gen Intel processor which outright required hw accel for at least H.265, and Geforce Now's (presumed) H.264 1080p@60fps video stream may be prone to dropping frames without as well.
