  • Shit dude, I've been working on the exact same thing!! I can't believe Tesseract works so well with just a thresholded photo! I wasted a lot of time on finding the grid and perspective correcting it etc with OpenCV.js. I didn't retrain the whole tesseract model but just finetuned it to add the fonts, which seems to work alright.
