There are utilities like these; https://github.com/validatedev/drop-cache-if-idle, and https://github.com/arkane-systems/wsl-drop-cache. But I'm not looking at clearing the cache when the processor is idle. My CPU will never be idle while these programs are running. I know cron is idle for automation, but I'm not always doing large tasks like these, only once in a while.
It's not a spread sheet. WPS is a WRF Preprocessing System https://github.com/wrf-model/WPS/. It intakes gridded global meteorological data, and process them into a form that Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) https://github.com/wrf-model/WRF can use. To be specific in this case, data from https://rda.ucar.edu/datasets/ds094.0/. They're 4 dimensional data. Multiple parameters that varies in latitude, longitude, levels and times.
