  • halloy

    IRC application written in Rust

  • irssi

    The client of the future

  • If you don't mind terminal clients, irssi is still regularly updated (most recent version was released in March of this year). It's available with homebrew.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.

  • Textual

Textual is an IRC client for OS X (by Codeux-Software)

  • Textual's source is on GitHub, and the most recent commit was only 4 months ago, so it appears it's still being worked on.

  • smuxi

Smuxi is an user-friendly and free IRC client for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X based on GNOME / GTK+

  • Smuxi is mainly a Linux client but there is a Mac version. The news page is a bit outdated... but the Github page shows the latest release was just 3 months ago.
