If you had a Drive backup you can download all decrypted data (chats and media) with this tool: https://github.com/joanroig/WhatsApp-GD-Extractor-Multithread I'm also sending them emails but no real useful tips from them yet, they've not been answering anymore since around 10 hours
Correct, that's what I'm dealing with. And if you uninstall the app all local backups are lost, so you will only rely on what you have on Google Drive. That's my case right now, so I'm doing a backup from Google Drive to my computer using this tool to keep all data safe, in case it's useful for anyone else: https://github.com/YuriCosta/WhatsApp-GD-Extractor-Multithread
Just found https://github.com/ElDavoo/wa-crypt-tools and since i have a new backup in a rooted phone i think i'm gonna tamper with the db to see what's inside.
