Just a thought for anyone interested, check out, https://telegram.org/ if on android, get the app from the web page, last time I heard, the Google play store version is gimped, and there is also a desktop version, along with a webpage version. There are channels, and groups that share just about anything, free members can upload files up to 2 gigs in size per file, paid members can post 4 gig files, reason I say file, you can share anything, movies, music, pictures, games, porn, roms, etc. If it is kept private, it is rare that it gets taken down for copyright. So good luck, that is where I'll be, and there are some good movie sharing channels.
You can install an old.reddit lookalike theme using either of these two userscripts: https://github.com/soundjester/lemmy_monkey/tree/main. IMO the compact theme looks better than old.reddit.
