If you want the best performance then you'll need to look at GPU stuff, from decoding via eg. NVENC through processing pixels (if you need any processing) to encoding/transcoding, it will vary greatly depending on your use case. In terms of video processing, check out Gyroflow, it implements video processing on GPU with almost all possible graphic APIs and also is a great example of end-to-end GPU ffmpeg pipeline in rust.
