I'd say the most annoying thing I ran into has been dealing with go vendor tarballs. Gotta make one for every release... I ended up semi-automating it so that it gets made everytime I push a tag to my fork.

Turns out someone already made an issue about this upstream, and even made a working ebuild, although it was published to his/her overlay which is not listed on overlays.gentoo.org yet sadly. If you're curious what was wrong and how it was fixed: the github issue

I also added the ebuild to GURU! https://github.com/gentoo/guru/commit/a3a749f80dbc78199c2526e5692374b3fd882e41 Should arrive in the master branch soon (I hope, usually the worst case is a few days).
