All the code is on my github. However its tied up with my game application, and has no documentation, so there is a little bit of work before it can become really useful to anyone else.

So, is this something anyone would like to use? In that case, does it make sense to push it out to crates.io? I don't want to pollute the crates namespace with stuff that nobody uses.

If you want to use a hex grid, you might look at my hexgrid library. It's not done yet, but is probably complete enough for what you're doing, maybe, I think. There's rustdoc and a rendering example.
