As far as the prompt closing it depends how you are running it and sometimes depends on your OS how the prompt behaves. But if you open windows command prompt and run TMDBTraktSyncer it shouldn't close when it's done running but that usually depends on your OS. What you can do is add the line input("Press Enter to continue...") to the end of TMDBTraktSyncer.py file which should keep it from closing no matter how you're running it. But my intention of the script is to run it in the background so that isnt something I would add, but you certainly can if that's how you want to use it. Adding a log file is a good idea and I might consider that. You should check out my post on the projects wiki page for setting up automation on Windows. You can set it up to run periodically in the background so it syncs automatically. Pretty neat setup, especially if you combine it with some other cool scripts.
I made another tool called TMDB-Trakt-Syncer which syncs ratings for Movies and TV Shows both ways between TMDB and Trakt. Also syncs episode ratings. You can use this script alongside PlexTraktSync and IMDb-Trakt-Syncer to get your ratings syncs across all 4 platforms! It should work on any OS.
