Bitcoin Core integration/staging tree (by BitcoinCore)

  • I'm in the process of setting up a full node. According to some guides I use I should verify my bitcoin software first. I downloaded BTC core from the site https://bitcoin.org/en/download. I only found a SHA256SUMS file with PGP signatures on their site, while https://bitcoincore.org/en/download also has a SHA256SUMS document with hashfiles.

    Bitcoin Core project website

  • I looked up the SHA256 hashfile of my download and it was not in the list that I found on bitcoincore.org. Is this a faulty software? Or is it just not in the list since I downloaded it from another site?

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
