It's a very simple thing. Then users would stop waiting for a feature that won't be implemented anyway and they could simply migrate to one of the alternatives that have proper sync (i.e. /r/Notesnook or /r/StandardNotes or /r/Turtl).
That's also the reason why I'm personally just waiting for Notesnook to have supported selfhosting and then I'll migrate to it to not having to worry about any sync issues again. ;)
Thus I'd rather recommend Notesnook, Obsidian or Simplenote — or any other solution that has basic features like a background sync.
