Laptop's might need additional drivers for full feature parity with Windows, for example Asus laptops may need asusctl which is only officially supported on Fedora and OpenSUSE.
The current main lingering issues has been separate launchers, codecs, DRM (in some rare case -- as Denuvo works fine from my checking), and anti-cheat, as you can see on protondb and areweanticheatyet.
