Basically I am not sure what the author of oer-reveal refers to when he says that we have to create a symlink in this reported issue.
People seem to like using reveal.js via ox-reveal.
I am not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but you can make presentations from an org buffer using org-tree-slide. You can check it out here
I use org-re-reveal and the results are amazing. It's highly configurable, so transitions, fonts, colors, etc. are all tweakable. You do need to know some CSS if you want to style things beyond the built-in themes.
In my config I have a hook I can call after saving the .org file to automatically export it and update the open browser to the current slide. This makes the process of updating/viewing the presentation a lot smoother. You can find my config here: https://github.com/zzamboni/dot-doom/blob/master/doom.org#revealjs-presentations
I basically took the one for a Clojure for Web Applications talk (highly recommend). The code is here: https://github.com/tbsschroeder/using-clojure-for-web-apps
