Is this GUI installing yt-dlg for me? (It worked even though I only have youtube-dl installed)

So, at the time I installed the GUI, I had only youtube-dl, not yt-dlg. I downloaded youtube-dl-gui from the Microsoft app store. I opened the app, pasted in a random video on the GUI, and clicked the 'start' button. I noticed that it said "getting latest release" or something to that effect (the wording might be wrong), then surprisingly, it worked.
