Now that our server is so large, it's getting harder to find movies to watch. Is there a way to have a more robust “Recommended” page? Or another solution?

This page summarizes the projects mentioned and recommended in the original post on /r/PleX

  • InfluxDB - Power Real-Time Data Analytics at Scale
  • WorkOS - The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS
  • SaaSHub - Software Alternatives and Reviews
  • Kometa

Python script to update metadata information for items in plex as well as automatically build collections and playlists. The Wiki Documentation is linked below.

  • Plex Meta Manager just has upwards of 25 PAC issues fixed plus loads more configuration options.

  • plex-autocollections

  • GitHub - alex-phillips/plex-autocollections

  • InfluxDB

  • python-plexlibrary

Create and maintain dynamic Plex libraries based on recipes.

  • dizquetv

Create live TV channels from your own media. Access the streams using the simulated HDHomerun tuner or the generated M3U URl.

  • I actually installed dizquetv and set up one IPTV channel per library so I can just tune into that live TV channel and see some random shit and get some ideas to what shows or movies I want to start. Worked a lot better than I had imagined!

  • Plex-Auto-Collections

Python 3 script to automatically update Plex collections based off a configuration file

  • Looks like another good option! BTW Plex-Auto-Collections (https://github.com/mza921/Plex-Auto-Collections) has been recently updated too.

  • WorkOS

The modern identity platform for B2B SaaS. The APIs are flexible and easy-to-use, supporting authentication, user identity, and complex enterprise features like SSO and SCIM provisioning.
