    • The ones I've tried are curiosity value only https://github.com/lrusso/VirtualXP, you can play with it here. There's also React OS (broken FOSS XP clone).

    • I'm using an old soft from BSS or Yamaha to help them understand how a digital sound mixer is working ... one used to control Soundweb (sound processor from BSS) gear (or DME, in Yamaha range). There are a more recent version as there are more recent version of Soundweb (called BLU) but it's way too complex... I need a balance between simplicity and complexity. Both brands (BSS and Yamaha) got their more recent software in a way that doesn't fit what I'm looking for. Maybe I'll find another way, but for now ten years, DME Designer is my tool... and it doesn't work well in win7. So, XP. (but maybe, I'm gonna try in Win2k using https://copy.sh/v86/).
