Final option: Just go somewhere else. Polychrome has always been flaky. For a few, it works well, for a lot of us, it's garbage that works when it feels like it. You could try OpenRGB and see if that works for you as an alternative to Polychrome. I use it for my wife's system and our upstairs computer that doesn't have any ARGB pinouts, but I need it to control the ARGB DRAM sticks I got, and it works better (for me) than Polychrome did.
