In an update to ICARUS Terminal today, signal sources for biological and geological and other signal sources are now shown in the System Information panel when exploring in inhabited systems, with additional information and icons displayed in the System Map and System List views to highlight potentially interesting discoveries.

It is still best to use something like EDDI or EDDLite to send data EDSM but ICARUS Terminal will blend that data with your local scan data to provide real time updates to a second screen as you explore when using a Discovery Scanner, Full Spectrum Scanner or Surface Scanner.
