I don't use it myself so I can't say for certain, but I believe this should be possible with the Sequencer Module.
Some multi-template stuff has already been made up in the Advanced Spell Effects module but that hasn't been updated in quite a while. Don't know if it's still working or would have what you want but it might be worth digging into to find inspiration on how to set stuff up, depending on how backend-savvy you are.
