I would say use https://www.steamgriddb.com/boop , https://github.com/PhilipK/BoilR or https://github.com/boppreh/steamgrid all 3 will speed up adding the the images (specially if you have 100+ non-steam games)
There’s an automated way of doing it for all your games. https://github.com/boppreh/steamgrid Create a steamgriddb api key and add it as a parameter when you run the exe file. It autodetects everything and downloads cover arts, icons etc

There's a plugin for Decky that can search through Steam Grid within the native steam menus and auto apply them without having to go to desktop mode, I use that and it's amazing. I did link to it's GitHub but it is also available in the Decky store page thing
