I spent a bit of time trying to get my next generation cargo-quickbuild idea off the ground over the summer. I didn't get where I wanted to in the time I allotted, so I have put that project down. If anyone wants to have another stab at it, I can fill you in on how far I got.

I have since joined a company that's using Typescript and Python, and I don't find myself installing rust tools as often. I put out a call for maintainers a few weeks back.

NobodyXu has agreed to take it on under the same github org as cargo-binstall. NobodyXu has already been helping out with some maintenance, triage and bugfixing (because cargo-binstall often installs packages from the cargo-quickinstall archive). I think that this arrangement will work out well.
