Which for the most part is true, but patches for AMD GPUs and for Intel GVT-d along with this repository which has very rough NVIDIA patches as well. I have had luck with the GVT-d on a crappy laptop and it worked booted fine with the UEFI stage along with Ubuntu and Windows. So progress is being made but it's an effort to get and keep working.
Of what is properly supported, works beautifully and I have to say vm-bhyve is a joy to use. Everything is very cohesive and solid as a whole; I recommend it for servers but for GPU passthrough, only if you like a challenge.
