  • Project mention: My opinion on ending | /r/ShingekiNoKyojin | 2023-11-06

While the structure of the final arc is still the same, which I disliked since the start of post-timeskip, the attempt to make the chapter 139 clearer was great. Refining "Thank you for being the mass murderer for our sake" along with extended dialogue of Armin and Eren was the best thing Isayama and Mappa did. Some people in r/anime and r/ShingekiNoKyojin say that it is "spoon-feeding" to show Armin being angry at the genocide or specifically tell what Eren wants, but to be honest, it was needed. This is the final chapter. You cannot have a long drama over someone's love -life while not showing any emotions to the main problem that was at hand. Eren has committed a heinous crime, and unlike manga, it did not try to make us feel sorry for him.

In case you weren't aware, its source code is public, and, while lacking a license, I believe I mentioned that it's public domain in the past. https://github.com/redditnfl/front-end. Its architecture is a bit old, gulp is not the most modern build tool, but things should still work in 2023.
