Then tried to install 'Bento' startpage (not a startpage user, so a first here)... decided to go for what looked like the simpler option and install 'Bento' as a 'New Tab Page' using author's recommended 'Custom New Tab Page' extension... from which point the 'howto' instructions are slim to nonexistent... and although tried several different options... no joy... no 'Bento' startpage could be made to appear... sigh. :(

The one thing that makes me miss Notion is how pretty and functional it can be. I'd love to try to make a more visual home page like this in Obsidian but I don't think Tables or Dataviews or whatever can really replicate this level of form and function.

I never bothered showing this, but it ended up getting me a great job so I figured it might be worth posting. I remade the reddit frontend in React, with all custom components and styles. Live version linked at the top of the page.
